Review 1 from a skeptic: AloeRest

I am not much of a believer in "juices" or a product that claims to provide something revolutionary in that it does something others can't do. At this stage, how is that even possible? Hasn't it all be developed by now? Point is, I am a skeptic of products like this from the word "go".

Anyway, I often suffer from a bit of insomnia. Whether it is the night before a big race, or I am still wound tight from the day, or maybe I am excited about something the next day or my body is so beat up from a race or heavy week of training, it is not uncommon for me to have a bit of insomnia a few times a month. When it comes to sleep, I am willing to try almost anything, assuming it is natural and legal, to get my rest as that is when one's body recovers. So, I decided to give the USAloe AloeRest product a try and here is what I can report thus far after about a month of using it with no expectations and hoping it would not work and I could prove, yet again, it is just another "juice" claiming to do something great for you, but falls flat. And believe me, in nearly 20 years of racing, I have tried a lot of products.

Well, it has worked... at least, I think it has. When I am not able to sleep or feel wound up and know I will not be able to or I am sore or beat down from training so I can't get comfortable in bed, I take a few shots of the AloeRest. What does it do? It puts me to sleep. Not abrupt and not immediate, but I tend to notice within 30 minutes it is lights out. I have no ill effects the next day, I don't feel groggy or hung over or anything of the like. I just... go to sleep.

Placebo effect or real deal? Frankly, I don't care as I get my sleep and rest and wake up feeling more refreshed then if I just try to conquer the insomnia bout on my own. It is all natural and healthy, so even if it is the placebo effect, I sleep and there is no harm done.

PS - I dig the fact it comes in little travel size bottles so I can take it with me when I travel to a race site and need to sleep in an unknown hotel after a hectic day of travel.
